The event was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure and the Department of Tactical and Special Training of DSUIA within the framework of teaching the discipline “Algorithm of actions of patrol police officers in various situations of official activity (scenarios)”.
Patrol police officers from Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions who are undergoing advanced training on the basis of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs took part in the class.
The invited speaker was the Head of the Department of Detection, Prevention of Commission and Termination of Offenses – Deputy Head of the Eastern Territorial Directorate of the Military Law Enforcement Service, Colonel Maksym Chernii.
The class was conducted with the aim of developing effective ways of interaction, exchange of experience, development of unified approaches to work, as well as coordination of interaction of the patrol police and the Military Law Enforcement Service.
Maksym Chernii acquainted the trainees with the features of the functioning of the Military Law Enforcement Service, explained the main provisions of the legislation and regulatory legal acts that regulate the responsibility of servicemen for crimes, disciplinary offenses and other offenses.
The participants of the class learned that the Military Law Enforcement Service works inside the military environment. At the same time, it is not endowed with the full volume of procedural powers for carrying out operational-search activities or pre-trial investigation. That is why many tasks are performed in interaction with the National Police of Ukraine, the State Bureau of Investigation and other state authorities.
The organizers of the event believe that the practice of war confirmed: the effectiveness of military law and order depends not only on the powers of a separate institution, but also on its ability to work jointly with other bodies.
