For first-year cadets of DSUIA, a lecture on cyber hygiene was conducted. The event was organized on the initiative of the leadership of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation bodies of the National Police of Ukraine together with the Department of the State Service for Special Communications in Dnipropetrovsk region.
The speaker of the meeting was a specialist of the Department of the State Service for Special Communications in Dnipropetrovsk region Vladyslav Bratsiun.
During the lecture, the first-year students were familiarized with the basic rules of cyber hygiene and the principles of safe behavior in the digital environment. Special attention was paid to issues that may have direct significance for the future official activity of police officers.

In particular, the cadets were told about the risks associated with the publication of photographs and other personal information on the network, emphasized the necessity of careful use of electronic mail and considered current cyber threats. Also, the specialist of the State Service for Special Communications explained the basic principles of creating reliable passwords and safe handling of account data.
Practical recommendations will help future police officers form a responsible attitude to digital security already at the beginning of their studies.

According to the specialists of the State Service for Special Communications, such meetings are an important component of the adaptation of first-year students to future professional activity, because cyber hygiene is an integral part of the safe work of a modern police officer. The acquired knowledge will contribute to the formation of skills of safe behavior in the information space and will help cadets responsibly use digital resources during further service in the ranks of the National Police of Ukraine.
