A safety training on practicing measures of response to emergency situations and other dangerous events was conducted jointly with the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region, the Main Directorate of the National Police in Luhansk region, the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region and the Patrol Police Department in Dnipropetrovsk region.
The event took place under the leadership of the vice-rector of the university, police colonel Ihor Kovalov. The personnel of DSUIA took part in the training.
The goal of the event was the practical practicing of scenarios for the elimination of the consequences of a missile-bomb and drone strike. During the training, rapid and organized movement to shelters, the procedure of notification and evacuation, actions after the conditional hitting of the object, interaction with units of the National Police and the State Emergency Service, as well as the rules of localization and elimination of fires at the initial stage with the help of primary means and the provision of pre-medical assistance were practiced.
The participants practically practiced the algorithms of actions upon the signal “Air alarm”, the procedure for notifying emergency services, behavior upon detection of a suspicious object, the use of primary fire extinguishing means, etc.
Such trainings contribute to increasing the level of readiness of the personnel of the university for actions under conditions of increased danger, improving the skills of responding to emergency situations and strengthening the security system of the institution of higher education.
