Dmytro, a resident of Zhovti Vody and a military veteran, successfully completed his training at the Barrier-Free Driving School of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, passed the required examinations, and obtained a Category B driving licence.
Dmytro joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. In August 2023, he was wounded. Before that, he had neither a driving licence nor any driving experience, so during his rehabilitation he decided to learn how to drive a car.
Dmytro learned about the opportunity to study at the DSUIA Barrier-Free Driving School while undergoing rehabilitation in Dnipro. The veteran completed the full training course, successfully passed all the required examinations, and obtained his driving licence.
According to the graduate, the professionalism of the instructors played an important role in his training. They explain the educational material in detail and help students confidently develop practical driving skills.
Dmytro was presented with his driving licence by Yevhenii Khokhlov, Head of the DSUIA Automotive Training Unit.
The DSUIA Barrier-Free Driving School continues to create accessible learning conditions for veterans, military personnel, and people with disabilities. Acquiring driving skills contributes to their mobility, independence, and return to active everyday life.
