Experience of the police for students: practical class at DSUIA

The invited speaker of the event was the senior inspector of the human rights observance sector of the Dnipro District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region, senior police lieutenant Anastasiia Skyba.

The event was conducted by the associate professor of the department of administrative-legal disciplines and public administration Ihor Serdiuk for applicants of higher education of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education of the study group Bd-D8-25-1 of the Educational and Research Institute of Law and Innovative Education of DSUIA within the framework of mastering the academic discipline “Administrative Law”.

The students familiarized themselves with the system of sources of the branch of administrative law, which constitutes the legal basis for the organization and functioning of bodies and units of the National Police as an important component of the public administration.

On practical examples from the activity of police officers of the human rights observance sector of the Dnipro District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region, the applicants of higher education had the opportunity to убедиться (be convinced) that modern administrative law of Ukraine develops within the framework of the human-centered paradigm.

In the opinion of the organizers of the event, such classes contribute to the deepening of the theoretical knowledge of students, the formation of practical skills in the application of the norms of administrative law and the understanding of the peculiarities of the activity of the National Police in the sphere of ensuring human rights and freedoms.

Practical familiarization with the work of police units gives the applicants of education the opportunity to better understand the significance of administrative-legal norms in professional activity and to prepare for their further application.
