Representatives of the veteran sports team of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs joined the grand final of the All-Ukrainian Veteran Petanque League and, according to the results of the competitions, reached the 1/8 final.
In Lviv, the grand final of the All-Ukrainian Veteran Petanque League took place — the fourth, final stage of the competitions of 2026. 50 veteran teams took part in the tournament, which united 165 participants from more than 20 cities of Ukraine.
Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs at the competitions was represented by the veteran sports team. In a tense struggle, the athletes demonstrated a focus on the result, endurance and will to win, successfully overcoming the group stage and reaching the 1/8 final of the Cup of Champions.
Petanque combines accuracy, strategic thinking and team interaction. For veterans and female veterans, this sport is also an important instrument of physical and psychological rehabilitation, social adaptation, communication and mutual support.
The participation of representatives of DSUIA in all-Ukrainian veteran sports competitions contributes to the development of veteran sports, the strengthening of team interaction and the creation of opportunities for active recovery and socialization of veterans.
The competitions “Cup of Champions of petanque among veterans of the AUPL 2026” took place with the support of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, the Lviv City Council, the American foundation “Nova Ukraine” and the public organization “UAZZ ‘Marlog-Caduceus'”.
