The event was conducted on the occasion of the International Day of Peace at the Educational and Research Institute of Law and Innovative Education of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The moderator of the meeting was the deputy director of the Educational and Research Institute of Law and Innovative Education of DSUIA Iryna Dmytryshyn. Participation in the event was taken by first-year students of the study groups Bd-K9-26-2 and Bd-K9-26-3.
During the event, the participants analyzed real practical cases – from the de-escalation of conflicts during mass gatherings according to modern Scandinavian models to the stabilization of the security situation in frontline and de-occupied territories.
Communication techniques were also practiced: they mastered the rules of verbal calming of aggression, counteraction to panic and conducting dialogue under conditions of high emotional tension.
In addition, the students mastered psychological skills: they trained algorithms for providing first psychological aid to persons in a state of acute stress and self-regulation in extreme situations.
The organizers of the event believe that a modern law enforcement officer is above all a communicator, a moderator of crisis situations, who is a reliable shield for the civilian population.
