Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs was represented by senior lecturers of the department of fire training, police lieutenant colonel Yevhen Zelenskyi and police lieutenant colonel Oleksandr Karpenko.
On the basis of the Kyiv Institute of the National Guard of Ukraine, a seminar-training took place for scientific-pedagogical and pedagogical employees of institutions of higher education of the bodies of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the topic “Peculiarities of the use of multimedia simulators during the teaching of the academic discipline “Fire Training”.
This event completed the cycle of seminars-trainings organized by the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs within the framework of systematic work on improving the quality of the educational process in institutions of higher education of the bodies of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 19 scientific-pedagogical employees of institutions of higher education with specific conditions of study, belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Emergency Service and higher military educational institutions of the State Border Guard Service and the National Guard of Ukraine, took part in the seminar-training. During two days, the participants of the seminar-training familiarized themselves with modern multimedia complexes and simulator systems, their capabilities and peculiarities of application in the educational process.
An important part of the seminar-training were practical demonstrations conducted by representatives of companies-manufacturers of multimedia simulators. The specialists directly demonstrated the operation of the systems, the possibilities of creating and using training scenarios.
During the seminar-training, the participants tested simulators for the training of mortar crews, armored personnel carrier crews, units of fire and tactical training, as well as complexes for practicing the use of anti-tank missile systems “Korsar”, “Fahot”, FGM-148 Javelin, man-portable air-defense systems FIM-92 Stinger and “Ihla”. Separately, multimedia simulators for the destruction of drones were considered.
At the same time, in addition to working with specific systems, the participants discussed the methodology of their implementation in field classes and training shootings, approaches to building scenarios and using the results of training for the analysis and correction of the mistakes of those who are studying.
The practical part of the seminar-training gave the participants the opportunity not only to receive information about modern simulator systems, but also to see them in operation and directly test their capabilities both in the role of instructors and those who are studying. According to the results of the seminar-training, the participants received certificates.
