Recently, in Dnipropetrovsk region, open competitions in shooting from Olympic and traditional bows took place within the framework of the festival of adaptive sports “Samarskyi Herts”.
The events were organized with the support of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, the Department for Veterans Policy of the Regional State Administration, public and veteran organizations.
Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs was represented by military veterans – participants of the sports team: Serhii Shtym, Yevhen Ratkov, Vitalii Verbytskyi, Yurii Zhurba, as well as the assistant to the rector for work with veterans Oleksandr Hryshchuk.
During the festival, adaptive sports were presented, among which petanque, rowing on a simulator, aerobike, shooting from Olympic and traditional bows.
According to the results of the competitions in shooting from the Olympic bow, the representatives of DSUIA took the following places: Vitalii Verbytskyi won second, and Serhii Shtym – third place.
