At the faculty of training specialists for units of criminal police of the National Police of Ukraine, a meeting of cadets of the 3rd year, who underwent training at the “Autumn School on Counteracting Human Trafficking”, with applicants of the 1st and 2nd years was organized.
Cadets Valeriia Bunchuzhna and Nikita Dziuba underwent training within the framework of the joint project of the OSCE, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine “Strengthening the capacity of Ukraine in counteracting human trafficking through institutional reform and strategic development of potential”.
They shared their impressions regarding the topics of training within the framework of the project, the acquisition of new knowledge on issues of investigation of crimes related to human trafficking, issues of counteracting human trafficking in Ukraine. According to Valeriia Bunchuzhna and Nikita Dziuba, significant attention during the training was paid to the identification of persons who suffered from human trafficking, the main indicators, the peculiarities of redirection and provision of assistance to the affected, as well as first psychological aid. Separately, the issues of criminal-legal qualification and peculiarities of the investigation of such crimes, the use of IT technologies, etc. were considered.
Interesting was the acquisition of new experience regarding the conduct of training in an interactive format with the use of facilitated discussions, work in teams, practical tasks, mini-quests.
Such meetings between cadets of different years of study contribute to the popularization of participation in international projects, the acquisition of new knowledge and the improvement of the theoretical component of study.
