I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of Defenders of Ukraine and the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks!
These dates combine the heroic past of our people with the modern struggle for freedom and independence. From the Cossack generations who defended the right of Ukrainians to their own state, to the present Defenders — Ukraine has a strong tradition of courage, honor, brotherhood and loyalty to the Fatherland.
Today, with special gratitude, we address those who defend our state at the front, ensure security and law and order, save people, protect Ukrainian cities and villages. Your resilience, courage and dedication give Ukraine the opportunity to live, work, educate youth and look confidently into the future.
We bow our heads before the memory of the Heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine. Their feat will forever remain part of our national memory and responsibility before the next generations.
I wish our Defenders strength, endurance and the soonest return to their loved ones. To all Ukrainians — peace, unity and unbreakable faith in our state.
