On the occasion of the Day of the Lawyer, a curatorial hour was held for cadets of the academic group KP-K9-25-1 of the faculty of training specialists for units of criminal police of the National Police of Ukraine.

The cadets, together with the curator of the group, police captain Maryna Lohinova, discussed the significance of legal education and legal literacy for the future professional activity of a law enforcement officer. Special attention was paid to the role of lawyers, investigators and employees of law enforcement bodies in ensuring law and order, protecting the rights of citizens and the national security of the state.
The participants considered practical cases related to the application of legislation during the performance of official tasks, and discussed the peculiarities of making legal decisions in professional activity.
Also, the cadets familiarized themselves with the history of the Day of the Lawyer. With a moment of silence, they honored the memory of fellow lawyers who gave their lives defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
During the discussion, it was emphasized that the profession of a lawyer in the law enforcement sphere provides for thorough knowledge of legislation and a high level of responsibility, discipline, adherence to the Oath and readiness to act in accordance with the requirements of the law.
Such events contribute to the deepening of the cadets’ understanding of the role of law in the activity of a law enforcement officer and the preparation of future police officers for the performance of official tasks.
