Within the framework of the program of specialization of police officers on issues of conducting surveys with the use of a polygraph according to the methodology of detecting concealed information, a practically oriented class on stress resilience was conducted by the professor of the department of civil-law disciplines and psychology of DSUIA Inna Shynkarenko.
In the opinion of the organizers, the work of a polygraph examiner requires not only thorough professional training, but also the ability to maintain concentration, emotional balance and objectivity under conditions of significant psycho-emotional load.
Theory was immediately consolidated by practice: the participants performed exercises on self-regulation and management of emotional tension, mastered techniques for the rapid restoration of internal resource, analyzed their own reactions to stress and simulated behavior in complex professional situations.
Such classes are an important component of the professional improvement of polygraph examiners, because the ability to manage one’s own state, maintain focus and endurance directly affects the quality of the performance of professional tasks.
