An Inspiring Experience: DSUIA Cadets Meet with a Military Veteran

NEWS

A meeting with Viacheslav Lisenko was organized for cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for the Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine as part of a faculty advisory session.

Following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Viacheslav Lisenko joined the 111th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade, where he carried out combat missions in defense of the country. During the meeting, he shared his personal experience of military service and spoke about the challenges he had faced during the war.

The cadets asked the guest about everyday service conditions, combat experiences, injuries and recovery. Particular attention was paid to psychological resilience. The veteran shared the skills and strategies that had helped him maintain self-control, support his fellow service members and carry out assigned tasks even in critical situations.

Another important topic of discussion was personal responsibility, motivation and dedication to professional duty. These qualities are also essential for future investigators, whose work requires careful examination of case circumstances, strict adherence to the law and sound decision-making.

Such meetings are an integral part of DSUIA’s educational and character-building activities, aimed at fostering civic awareness, respect for Ukraine’s defenders and an understanding of the true value of security.
