Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs held an interactive training session as part of an advanced training programme for patrol police officers. The session focused on improving professional communication, developing stress resilience, and adhering to ethical standards in the performance of official duties.

The session was led by Police Captain Maryna Lohinova, a lecturer at the Department of Civil Law Disciplines of the Faculty for Training Specialists for the Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine.
During the training, participants worked through practical scenarios encountered in the day-to-day work of patrol police. Particular attention was paid to professional communication with members of the public, conflict resolution, and decision-making under heightened psychological pressure.

A separate module focused on respecting human rights and upholding the principles of accessibility and tolerance in the performance of official duties. The participants examined communication approaches for different groups of people and the role of ethical conduct by police officers in building public trust.
During the practical part, patrol officers practised psychological self-regulation techniques, stress management methods, and ways to prevent professional burnout. The interactive format included simulations of service situations, discussions of possible responses, and practical training exercises.
Such sessions help strengthen communication skills, psychological resilience, and patrol officers’ readiness to respond effectively to challenging situations while safeguarding the rights and safety of the public.
