First-year cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine learned more about the history of their hometown, its cultural heritage, and the heroism of Ukrainian defenders.

During a tour of the Museum of Dnipro’s History, located in the historic Governor’s House, the cadets explored the main stages of the city’s development, its architectural and cultural life, and learned about prominent figures from different eras. Visitors were particularly interested in historical documents, photographs, household items, and interactive displays recreating the atmosphere of past centuries.
The next stop was the Museum of the Modern Russian-Ukrainian War. The first-year cadets explored the outdoor and indoor exhibitions dedicated to military operations in eastern Ukraine, as well as the memorial hall commemorating those who lost their lives. They saw examples of military equipment, gear, and fragments of weapons used in combat. The cadets also tried the museum’s interactive exhibits, including virtual reality simulators for operating unmanned aerial vehicles and firearms training simulators.

The tours helped the cadets trace the links between Dnipro’s historical development, Ukraine’s past, and current events, while recognising the importance of preserving national memory.
Such activities broaden the horizons of future law enforcement officers, foster historical awareness, and cultivate respect for cultural heritage and Ukrainian service members. Combining cultural and educational activities with military-patriotic education is an important part of training specialists who understand their responsibility to society and the state.
