Cadets of the faculty of training specialists for units of criminal police of the National Police of Ukraine and the Educational and Research Institute of Law Enforcement Activity of the National Police of Ukraine of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs took part in the event.

The practical workshop within the framework of the implementation of the project “Point of Psychological Practices” with candidates for the positions of junior commanders was aimed at identifying their leadership potential and forming a conscious attitude to the decision to engage in managerial activity.

The peculiarity of the event was its interactive format, which provided for the acquisition of new knowledge and the development of communicative, organizational and personal abilities through active joint activity, and not passive listening. Attention was paid to the development of skills of effective communication, critical thinking, self-organization and the ability to act in conditions of limited time.

The moderator of the event Vladyslav Bidniak noted that during the performance of psycho-training exercises and in the process of their further discussion, discussions arose between the participants regarding the importance of developing already existing abilities and skills, forming new competences, maintaining mental health, team interaction and readiness to take on responsibility.

The head of the department of psychological support Serhii Vyshnevskyi emphasized that a modern police officer must be able to make complex decisions, take on responsibility, support colleagues and maintain psychological resilience, therefore the topic of the meeting is relevant precisely at the beginning of the acquisition of primary experience by the cadets.

The participants realized their own strengths, determined the directions of further personal development and understood the responsibility of a leader in the collective.

The event demonstrated a high level of leadership potential of the cadets, and their joint work will contribute to strengthening confidence in their own strengths, the development of responsibility, initiative and readiness for service in the ranks of the National Police of Ukraine.
