Cyber hygiene as the basis of information security: training at DDUVS

An introductory briefing was held at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs for employees who work with personal data.

At the beginning of the meeting, Acting Rector of DDUVS Ihor Mahdalina addressed the participants and emphasized the necessity and importance of following cyber hygiene rules in the context of the constant growth of cyber threats.

The training, aimed at increasing employees’ awareness and developing practical skills for safe use of information technologies, was conducted by specialists of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region, Vladyslav Bratsiun and Serhii Novosilskyi.

Issues of assessing and improving cybersecurity knowledge were raised, risks related to publishing photos were discussed, and attention was drawn to caution when using email. In addition, the specialists informed participants about current cyber threats and explained the principles of creating secure passwords.

The event was organized by the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region together with the Information and Technical Support Department of DDUVS.

Such events contribute to the development of an information security culture at the university, increase professional awareness among employees, and minimize the risk of confidential information leakage.
