A career guidance meeting with National Guard servicemen was held at the O. Hostishchev Dnipro Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

MIA Lyceum

The event featured representatives of the Kyiv Institute of the National Guard of Ukraine – Senior Lieutenant Ihor Korol and Senior Soldier Dmytro Tsymbalenko.

They gave an overview of the institute, outlining its structure, faculties, and areas of study. The speakers also walked students through the admissions process, from preparing documents to the stages of competitive selection.

The informational part of the event included an introductory video showing the learning conditions, facilities, and daily life of cadets. After the screening, students actively engaged in discussion, asking questions and clarifying details about admission and military service.

The discussion also covered career advancement, professional development opportunities, and the possibility of joining specialized units after graduation. Students gained a clear understanding of the career path of an officer in the National Guard of Ukraine.

The most active participants received commemorative gifts. In particular, lyceum students Artem Tupotin and Andrii Kholod were awarded a chevron and a T-shirt for their strong knowledge of the National Guard’s specifics.

According to the organizers, career guidance events of this kind give students a practical understanding of their future profession rather than an abstract idea. They help young people assess their abilities against the requirements of a chosen field and make more informed decisions about their educational and career paths.
