According to the results of the 2026 ranking, Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs demonstrated positive dynamics and took third place among higher education institutions of the MIA system that train police officers.
The annual ranking of Ukrainian higher education institutions, formed on the basis of indicators of the international scientometric database Scopus, was published on the “Osvita.ua” website. In 2026, the list included 219 higher education institutions of Ukraine. The ranking was carried out according to the Hirsch index — an integral indicator that takes into account the number of scientific publications and the level of their citation.
With an h-index of 19, the university took 143rd place in the all-Ukrainian ranking, rising 7 positions compared to the previous year.
The improvement of DSUIA’s positions in the scientometric ranking indicates a consistent increase in the scientific activity of scientific and pedagogical workers, the expansion of publication activity and the increase in the citation level of research that shapes the academic reputation of the educational institution.
Scopus is one of the leading international bibliographic and abstract databases that indexes scientific publications in the fields of technical, medical and humanitarian sciences. Its analytical tools allow for an objective assessment of the effectiveness of scientific activity and are used in the formation of leading world and national university rankings.
The obtained results emphasize the systematic work of DSUIA in the field of science development and confirm the strengthening of the university’s positions in the academic environment of Ukraine.
