Cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine took part in the flower-laying ceremony.
Cadets of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, together with military veteran Pavlo Ostrohliadov, laid flowers at the Monument on the Alley of Heroes and honored the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence. Participants of the event recalled the feat of the Ukrainian people, who made a significant contribution to the victory over Nazism in World War II. In addition, the cadets commemorated the Heroes who fell in the new war that has continued for the last twelve years.
The event became an important element of understanding historical memory for the cadets. Higher education students honored the millions of Ukrainians who died fighting for the freedom of future generations.
Such events are especially relevant today, when eighty years after the victory over Nazism, Russia’s aggression against Ukraine continues. Such initiatives contribute to the formation of historical awareness among DDUVS cadets, a sense of responsibility for the future of the state, and an understanding of the value of peace.
