A practical pre-medical training session was conducted by Professor of the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training of DSUIA, Police Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Pletenets, for cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine.

During the training, the cadets mastered algorithms for providing assistance in cases of massive bleeding, loss of consciousness, breathing disorders, and other life-threatening conditions. The main focus was placed on the correct application of tourniquets, wound packing, bleeding control, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Under the instructor’s supervision, participants reinforced their theoretical knowledge in practice using special training tools and medical equipment. In particular, they improved their skills in applying tourniquets, checking the effectiveness of bleeding control, applying bandages for head injuries, and coordinating actions while assisting an injured person.
The cadets practiced the sequence of actions step by step, learned to quickly assess the situation, identify primary threats, and act under time constraints.

DSUIA emphasizes that such classes are an integral part of the professional training of future law enforcement officers. The acquired skills allow cadets to be prepared for rapid action in dangerous conditions, respond competently to threatening situations, and provide pre-medical aid before the arrival of medical personnel.
