DSUIA continues to actively support adaptive sports and the veteran movement. On May 22, 2026, in the city of Cherkasy, university veterans won medals at the All-Ukrainian table tennis competitions “Veterans Games”.
In the tournament, which united athletes from all regions of Ukraine, eight athletes defended the honor of DSUIA, among whom were regular table tennis players Vyacheslav Kaystro, Andriy Shevchenko and the Champion of Ukraine in table tennis Vasyl Koval. All of them are experienced athletes who regularly participate in competitions and demonstrate a high level of skill.
According to the results of the competitions, Andriy Shevchenko took second place in the individual standings and first place as part of the team. Vyacheslav Kaystro won third place in the individual standings, and Yevhenii Boyko won second place also in the individual standings.
Table tennis for veterans is not only a sports discipline, but also an important element of physical rehabilitation, maintaining muscle tone and psychological recovery. Such competitions contribute to strengthening health, socialization and maintaining an active lifestyle of the defenders of Ukraine.
