Participation in the event was taken by cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the NPU and the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the NPU.
The speaker of the seminar was Karl Plesner – adviser of the Consultative Mission of the European Union in Ukraine on issues of social cohesion and mediation, an international specialist in restoring social ties after destructive events.
During the seminar, Karl Plesner shared his own experience of working in Ukraine, starting from the times of the Revolution of Dignity. He spoke about the peculiarities of crisis communication, methods of establishing contact with a person who is in a stressful state, as well as the psychological aspects of interaction in extreme conditions.


The participants of the seminar discussed the importance of empathy, active listening and proper construction of dialogue in situations related to conflicts and other crisis events.

Such events contribute to increasing the professional competence of future law enforcement officers, the formation of skills of effective communication in difficult conditions and the implementation of European standards of work with citizens.
