The event was held for first-year cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the NPU within the framework of mastering the discipline “Qualification of Administrative Offenses under the Jurisdiction of Preventive Activity Units”.
The organization of the quest was joined by the Acting Commander of the Platoon of the 1st Company of the 4th Battalion of the 4th Directorate of Patrol Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Senior Sergeant of Police Andriy Popruzhenko and the Acting Senior Inspector of the Public Relations Department of the Patrol Police Directorate in Zaporizhzhia Region, Senior Sergeant of Police Viktoriia Zaiarna.
The event was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure of the ESI of Training Specialists for Preventive Activity Units of the NPU with the participation of the Department of Organization of Advanced Training and Specialization of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning of DSUIA.
The cadets learned to accept, register and correctly qualify citizens’ statements, as well as to acquire the basics of communication with applicants, witnesses and offenders.
The cadets showed particular interest in real situations that patrol police officers face. The law enforcement officers demonstrated how important it is to adhere to the principles of legality, necessity, proportionality and efficiency when applying police coercive measures.
In order to consolidate the acquired knowledge, the cadets, together with the police officers, developed algorithms for actions to stop street offenses, detain offenders, and procedural documentation.
The lesson aroused great interest among the cadets, who expressed a desire to continue acquiring practical skills for their future profession.
