Nazar Koziukov became the winner of the 10th International Boxing Tournament “Eduard and Oleksandr Pohodin Cup,” which took place in Chernivtsi and was dedicated to the memory of fallen athlete-warriors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The athlete competed in the weight category up to 85 kg. Boxers from Ukraine, England, India, Moldova, and other countries participated in the competition. The tournament traditionally brought together strong athletes and became a large-scale international sporting event.
On his way to victory, Nazar Koziukov held two successful bouts. In the first match, the DSUIA student defeated his opponent from Ivano-Frankivsk ahead of schedule, finishing the fight with a technical knockout in the second round.
In the final bout, Nazar Koziukov faced a representative of the Chernivtsi boxing school and won by unanimous decision of the judges. In the third round, the athlete delivered a successful attack that sent his opponent to the canvas.
DSUIA notes that participation in international tournaments is an important component of the professional and athletic development of young people, as it contributes to improving skills, endurance, and competitive experience.
