On May 27, with the support of the Department of Organization of Scientific Activity, an event dedicated to the Day of Science of Ukraine was held with the participation of representatives of the Scientific Society of Higher Education Seekers of DSUIA and pupils of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education named after Oleksandr Hostishchev of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The pro-rector of DSUIA, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Police Colonel Oleksandr Yunin was present at the meeting. He addressed the audience with a welcoming speech, in which he emphasized the importance of conducting scientific research work by higher education seekers, which contributes to the development of creative thinking and forms the skills necessary for future highly qualified specialists, and presented diplomas of I, II and III degrees to the winners of scientific works competitions.
The director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education, Doctor of Law, Professor Volodymyr Shablystyi was present at the event. He addressed the audience with a welcoming speech and wished the young researchers further success in scientific activity, as well as the scientific supervisors of the competition works of higher education seekers.
The senior research fellow of the Department of Organization of Scientific Work Olena Shkurko noted that in the 2025/2026 academic year, higher education seekers of DSUIA took an active part in scientific and scientific-practical events and demonstrated a high level of mastery of the skills of writing competition works, as evidenced by the awards they received.
The head of the Scientific Society of Higher Education Seekers Yuliia Tolmachova informed the audience about the types of scientific research activities of higher education seekers of Ukrainian higher education institutions and told about the participation of young researchers of DSUIA in competitions of scientific works at the all-Ukrainian and university levels in the current academic year.
The deputy head of the Scientific Society of Higher Education Seekers Mariia Sydorenko shared her experience of writing a work submitted to the competition of scientific works of higher education seekers of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education institutions that belong to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and its defense at the final conference, which took place on May 11-12 at the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine in the city of Cherkasy.
The secretary of the Scientific Society Ilona Buyakova prepared and conducted an interesting quiz, which allowed higher education seekers and lyceum students to demonstrate their knowledge in various scientific fields.
Summing up the results of the event, the head of the Department of Scientific Activity Denys Proshin emphasized that scientific research activity is an integral part of the educational process in higher education institutions of Ukraine and urged young researchers to continue actively engaging in science.
