The Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs was represented by the Assistant to the Rector for Gender Issues, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, member of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Law Enforcement Officers Larysa Nalyvaiko.
The VII International Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic “Implementation of Gender Policy at the Current Stage of Development of the Security and Defense Sector: State, Problems, Prospects” was held at the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. The event was opened by the Rector of the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, Doctor of Science in Public Administration, Associate Professor, Colonel Oleksandr Meiko.

Introductory speeches were delivered by the Acting Head of the State Border Guard Service, Major General Valerii Vavryniuk; the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets; the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy, Doctor of Law, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Kateryna Levchenko; the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Head of the Board of the Public Organization “Ukrainian Association of Law Enforcement Officers” Kateryna Pavlichenko; the Representative of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights in Khmelnytskyi Region Oksana Kizayeva; the Senior Gender Advisor of UN Women in Ukraine Doctor Adelasia Divona and others.




During the plenary session, Larysa Nalyvaiko spoke as the coordinator of the Mentorship Program of the Ukrainian Association of Law Enforcement Officers for 2025–2026.
During the report, attention was focused on individual mentorship as an effective tool for the development of human potential, confidence and career growth.
Such events contribute to the affirmation of gender equality in the security and defense sector, strengthening the role of women in decision-making, leadership, exchange of international experience and the formation of an inclusive environment in the law enforcement system of Ukraine.
