Representatives of regional and city authorities, security structures, clergy, and the public took part in the commemorative event. Among the participants was also the acting rector of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs Ihor Mahdalina.

Those present honored the memory of Ukrainian children whose lives were prematurely cut short by the war. Participants bowed their heads in a minute of silence, remembering every child who became a victim of Russian aggression.

A symbol of remembrance was children’s toys, which participants of the action left near an improvised memorial site where children’s chairs were installed. These items, associated with carefree childhood, remind us of thousands of unfulfilled dreams, lost opportunities, and lives that did not have the chance to bloom. The “Bells” action was also held, becoming an echo of voices that have fallen silent.

The Day of Remembrance of Children who died as a result of the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine serves as a reminder of the high price our country pays every day for freedom and independence. The memory of innocent victims of the war will forever remain in the hearts of Ukrainians.

Participants of the event emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of every child whose life was taken by the war and of consolidating efforts to protect the future of Ukrainian children.
