Cadets of the faculty of training specialists for criminal police units of the NPU and the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation bodies of the NPU continue to acquire practical skills and improve theoretical knowledge.
Cadets systematically visit the Criminal Analysis Department of the Main Police Department in Dnipropetrovsk and Luhansk regions, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Police Department in Luhansk region and the Strategic Investigations Department in Dnipropetrovsk region of the Strategic Investigations Department of the NPU.
Students get acquainted with the work of police units, the main tasks that they perform, improve skills in drafting document projects based on the results of individual measures, etc.
In the criminal analysis units, cadets have the opportunity to be involved in conducting analysis of open sources (OSINT) for the purpose of searching for servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who have gone missing, and children who lived in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk region and whose location is currently not established.
Cadets get acquainted with the specifics of the activities of investigative units, the features of the organization of pre-trial investigation and the procedure for recording criminal offenses. Under the guidance of experienced police officers, they acquire practical skills in working with materials of criminal proceedings, procedural documents and forensic techniques. Special attention is paid to the formation of professional competencies in the field of collection and recording of evidence, preparation of draft procedural documents, as well as compliance with the requirements of criminal procedural legislation.
Such measures allow cadets to consolidate the knowledge gained during training and integrate it into the practical activities of NPU units.
