Military Law Enforcement Service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine: binary lesson for police officers

The event was held for patrol police officers from Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions, who are undergoing training under the specialization program at the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning of DSUIA.

The meeting was organized by the department of administrative law and process, as well as the department of tactical and special training with the participation of the department of organization of professional development and specialization of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning of DSUIA, within the framework of teaching the discipline “Algorithm of actions of patrol police officers in various situations of official activity (scenarios)”.

The head of the department of detection, prevention and termination of offenses – deputy head of the Eastern Territorial Department of the Military Law Enforcement Service, colonel Maksym Chernii met with the listeners.

During the lesson, the main tasks of the Military Law Enforcement Service were considered, namely: identification of the causes, prerequisites and circumstances of criminal and other offenses committed in military units and at military facilities; search for persons who arbitrarily left military units (places of service). Emphasis was placed on preventing the commission and stopping criminal and other offenses in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Separately, the participation of the Service in the protection of military facilities and ensuring public order and military discipline among servicemen in the places of deployment of units, military towns, on the streets, in public places, etc. was noted.

Maksym Chernii shared his own combat and management experience. He drew attention to the most effective methods of interaction between the police and the military law enforcement service, which are used during the performance of official tasks during the period of martial law.

A similar format of classes contributes to the combination of theoretical training with the practical experience of law enforcement officers and increases the level of professional competence of police officers.
