Weekly training sessions of the “Veterans` Basket” team—the first adaptive basketball team in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine—continue at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA). The sessions are part of the university’s systematic work on the development of veterans’ sports, physical rehabilitation, and the social adaptation of Ukraine’s defenders.

During the training sessions, participants improve their playing technique, work on teamwork, practice tactical elements, and strengthen their physical endurance. Equally important is the atmosphere of mutual support, which promotes psychological recovery, socialization, and a return to active life.
Regular training sessions are the foundation of the team’s athletic development. It is thanks to systematic training that “Veterans` Basket” successfully represents Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs at national adaptive basketball competitions, continuously improving its skill level and gaining valuable competitive experience.

At DSUIA, it is believed that sport is one of the effective tools for veterans’ rehabilitation. Therefore, the university will continue to create conditions for regular adaptive sports activities, supporting those who defended Ukraine on their path to new personal and team achievements.
