Head of the Psychological Support Unit Serhii Vyshnevskyi conducted a practical training session for first-year cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for the Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine. The session focused on improving interpersonal relationships within the cadet group, enhancing learning motivation and reducing psycho-emotional stress.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to helping cadets recognize their role in Ukraine’s future and understand the importance of developing a strong professional identity from the very beginning of their studies. Participants discussed the need to take a purposeful approach to their professional growth and to begin building a successful career from the first year of training, as this stage lays the foundation for future service in the National Police.
A separate part of the session addressed the development of effective interpersonal relationships within the cadet community. The discussion emphasized the importance of mutual assistance, team cohesion, respect and support. Participants also explored the role of constructive communication as a key element in creating a positive psychological environment and strengthening teamwork.
The topic of learning motivation and the pursuit of academic excellence generated lively discussion. Participants agreed that strong academic performance reflects a high level of knowledge acquisition and the overall quality of professional training. At the same time, it was emphasized that a solid theoretical foundation is essential for gaining practical experience and developing the professional skills and competencies required for future police service.
The training session contributed to increasing the cadets’ psychological awareness, strengthening their motivation and reinforcing the importance of teamwork as an integral part of their future professional careers in the National Police of Ukraine.
