Topic of the work: “Development of software for the identification of rocket weapons”.
The work is being carried out by the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs on the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The meeting was attended by the Acting Rector of DSUIA Ihor Magdaliina, Vice-Rector of DSUIA, Police Colonel Oleksandr Yunin, Director of the Dnipro Research Expert Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Volodymyr Korotaiev, Chief Specialist of the Center Oleksandr Ovcharov, as well as members of the working group from among the representatives of the university.
The working group is carrying out work, the purpose of which is the development of a mobile application for the identification of rocket weapons, in particular those used by the aggressor during the full-scale invasion of the rf on the territory of Ukraine. This development will make it possible to identify rocket weapons by marking designations or informative fragments that remain at the site of the shelling.
The expected advantages of the software will be: the formation of a full-fledged electronic database of fragments and debris of rockets, according to which their identification will be carried out for the purpose of using evidence of war crimes, in particular against Ukraine, in an international tribunal.
Currently, there are no analogues of such a program. The use of the mobile application in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will make it possible to increase the efficiency of the work of forensic experts at the sites of shelling and improve the efficiency of conducting forensic examinations for the study of rocket weapons of the rf.
