Ceremonial events marking the 11th anniversary of the National Police of Ukraine were held in Dnipro. Acting Rector of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs Ihor Mahdalina took part in the flag-raising ceremony and the official awards ceremony honoring police officers.

The events began near the building of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, where the National Police of Ukraine Flag was solemnly raised alongside the National Flag of Ukraine. Before the ceremony, participants observed a minute of silence to honor the memory of fallen defenders of Ukraine, law enforcement officers and all Ukrainians whose lives were claimed by the war.
The event brought together representatives of state authorities, law enforcement agencies, security and defense institutions, the Armed Forces, the State Emergency Service and the clergy. Following the flag-raising ceremony, participants performed the National Anthem of Ukraine.

The celebrations continued at the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region. Congratulatory remarks were delivered by Oleksandr Hanzha, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration and Chief of the Regional Military Administration; Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council; Denys Shleha, Commander of the Central Territorial Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine; Yurii Koretskyi, Head of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk Region; Serhii Volynets, Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk Region; Ihor Mahdalina, Acting Rector of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs; and Oleksandr Myrhorodskyi, Acting Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region. In their speeches, they expressed gratitude to police officers for their dedication, professionalism, and courage demonstrated in the line of duty.




During the ceremony, the region’s distinguished police officers were honored with departmental and commemorative awards in recognition of their exemplary service.

The celebrations concluded with the presentation of commemorative tokens by the leadership of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region to the distinguished guests as a symbol of appreciation for effective cooperation, continued support and joint efforts to ensure the region’s security under martial law. Acting Rector of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs Ihor Mahdalina was among the recipients of the commemorative award.
