A meeting with Educational Security Service officers who have commenced their special professional training at the Special Professional Training Center “Police Academy” was held at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA).

The event brought together 22 police officers who have recently joined the National Police of Ukraine and will undergo training in the specialization “Patrol Police,” with the qualification “Police Officer of the Educational Security Service.” The trainees represent National Police units from the Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernivtsi regions.
During the meeting, DSUIA Vice-Rector, Police Colonel Ihor Kovalov, welcomed the trainees on the beginning of their studies and conducted an introductory briefing. He familiarized the participants with the specifics of the educational process, the organization of training, and the requirements for completing the special professional training program. The meeting was also attended by Mykola Nazarenko, Director of the Special Professional Training Center “Police Academy.”

Particular attention was paid by Ihor Kovalov to the role of Educational Security Service officers within the modern system of educational institution safety. He emphasized that their mission extends beyond maintaining public order to creating a safe educational environment, preventing juvenile delinquency, and fostering trust between the police, students, educators, and parents.

“Your professionalism, responsibility, and ability to work with children determine not only the level of safety in educational institutions but also the development of legal awareness among the younger generation. That is why your training should become a solid foundation for your future service,” Police Colonel Ihor Kovalov noted.
In accordance with the DSUIA order, the special professional training program will continue until January 2027. During this period, the trainees will acquire a comprehensive set of theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for the effective performance of Educational Security Service duties.
Following the introductory briefing, the officers began their training, which will be conducted in accordance with the national standards of professional education and the departmental requirements of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
