During the meeting discussed the perspective directions of cooperation of the university and practical employees of the National Police of Ukraine.
In Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs on the initiative of the faculty of training specialists for units of criminal police of the NPU took place a working meeting of the leadership of the institution of higher education and the department of criminal analysis of the MDNP in Dnipropetrovsk region.
The person temporarily performing the duties of the rector of DSUIA Ihor Mahdalina together with the head of the department of criminal analysis of the MDNP in Dnipropetrovsk region, police lieutenant colonel Iryna Rusniak discussed the directions of cooperation of the university and the department.
At the meeting also were present the vice-rector of the university, police colonel Ihor Kovalov, the head of the department of the criminal investigation department of the MDNP in Dnipropetrovsk region, police major Mykhailo Povtar, the dean of the faculty of training specialists for units of criminal police of the NPU, police major Serhii Balaban.
Special attention is paid to the continuation in the 2026/2027 academic year of the positive experience of conducting optional classes by practical employees of the departments of criminal analysis of the MDNP in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Luhansk regions for applicants of higher education.
In addition, it was emphasized on the continuation of visiting by cadets of the department of criminal analysis of the MDNP in Dnipropetrovsk region with the aim of acquiring practical skills, improvement of acquired theoretical knowledge.
In the 2026/2027 academic year in DSUIA took place the first enrollment of applicants of higher education who study in the specialty K9 “Law Enforcement Activity” specialization “Criminal Analysis”. During the working meeting were discussed issues regarding the strengthening of practical training of cadets in the indicated specialization, the maximum involvement of practical employees in the educational process, and also the preparation of scientific and educational-methodical materials.
Also representatives of practical units of the police inspected the material-technical base of the university.
