The meeting was organized by Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs together with the Dnipro City Center of Social Services. Participation in the event was taken by cadets of the institution of higher education.
The training was conducted with the aim of familiarizing cadets of DSUIA with the components of mental health, providing a characteristic of a mentally and socially healthy person, informing about the factors that influence the state of mental health, and ways of caring for one’s own psycho-emotional state, as well as for emphasizing the importance of a healthy lifestyle and care for one’s own health.

With an introductory speech to the participants of the event addressed the assistant to the rector of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs on gender issues, doctor of legal sciences, professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Larysa Nalyvaiko.

The speakers of the event were the head of the Specialized Service of Primary Social-Psychological Counseling of Persons Who Suffered from Domestic Violence and/or Gender-Based Violence of the Dnipro City Center of Social Services Vita Volkova and the leading specialist in social work of the mobile brigade of social-psychological assistance to persons who suffered from domestic violence and/or gender-based violence of the Dnipro City Center of Social Services Maryna Serdiuk.
During the event, the participants conducted an acquaintance and took part in the brainstorming “Healthy person”, familiarized themselves with the main components of mental health, performed the exercise “My emotion”, listened to the information block “Characteristic of a mentally and socially healthy person”, joined the group work “We take care of our mental health” and completed the event with the exercise “Wish”.

Such events contribute to increasing the level of awareness of cadets regarding the components of mental health, the formation of skills of care for one’s own psycho-emotional state, the development of psychological stability and a responsible attitude to a healthy lifestyle.
