An optional class on criminal procedure for cadets of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation bodies of the National Police of Ukraine was conducted with the use of the training ground “Counteraction to organized crime and corruption”.
The class in the academic discipline “Criminal Procedure” was conducted by the associate professor of the department of criminal procedure, police lieutenant colonel Volodymyr Yefimov.
The cadets acquired practical skills in conducting certain investigative (search) actions. In particular, under the conditions of the training ground “Counteraction to organized crime and corruption”, they learned about the procedure for conducting a search in a work office on the fact of extortion of an unlawful benefit.
The practical orientation of the class gave the cadets the opportunity to apply the provisions of the criminal procedural legislation under conditions of a simulated official situation and to practice the sequence of actions during the conduct of the corresponding investigative (search) action.
Such classes contribute to the deepening of knowledge in criminal procedure, the formation of practical skills in conducting investigative (search) actions and the preparation of future police officers for the performance of professional tasks.
