The event was attended by Acting Rector of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs Ihor Mahdalina, as well as representatives of DSUIA faculties and institutes and higher education students.
The draft Civil Code was presented by Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk.
The event was attended by Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration – Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Police General of the Third Rank Oleksandr Hanzha, Members of Parliament, academics, lawyers, and representatives of the Regional Youth Congresses of Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
“The new Civil Code of Ukraine should be the best in Europe. We are writing rules that will work after the war. This is an entirely new reality, a new country, an entirely new social contract,” said Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk.
Proposals and comments on the new Civil Code are being collected during such meetings. Discussions have already taken place in Kharkiv and Poltava regions.
“Everyone’s views are being collected because this document concerns virtually everyone. The regions are involved in shaping the decisions by which the country will live. They have the opportunity to put forward their proposals, ask questions, and join the discussion,” noted Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Hanzha.
The draft has passed its first reading and is being finalized ahead of the second reading.
