A commemorative ceremony bringing together representatives of law enforcement agencies, local authorities, the public and the clergy was held at the Monument to Fallen Defenders of Law and Order in Dnipro.
Cadets and officers of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs took part in the ceremony, led by Ihor Kovalov, Vice-Rector of DSUIA and Colonel of Police.
Those present paid tribute to the memory of law enforcement officers who remained faithful to their Oath and professional duty until the very end. The participants observed a minute of silence in their memory and laid flowers at the Monument as a sign of respect and gratitude.
For DSUIA cadets, participation in such events is an important part of their professional development and the formation of police culture. Remembering fallen colleagues fosters respect for the profession, a strong sense of responsibility for fulfilling professional duties and an understanding of the important mission of a law enforcement officer.
