NEWS

The event was conducted by the department of psychological support of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

For first-year students of the Educational and Research Institute of Law and Innovative Education of DSUIA, a class was conducted in the format of a mini-discussion, dedicated to increasing the level of psychological awareness in the sphere of recognition, prevention and counteraction to cruel treatment (bullying) in the educational environment.

The main feature of the meeting was constant feedback between the participants. The students actively shared their own experience of encountering cases of bullying during their studies at school and other educational institutions. Further analysis and discussion with the moderator of the event Vladyslav Bidniak in the context of psychological science and professional practice made it possible to single out the main markers, signs, forms and types of violence.

The head of the department of psychological support Serhii Vyshnevskyi emphasized that the use of different formats of work with applicants of education creates a flexible system for the development of personal and professional qualities. This gives the opportunity to reveal the topic of the meeting as effectively as possible and contributes to the formation of a culture of intolerance to any manifestations of violence.

The group work of the participants, dedicated to the analysis of the causes and methods of responding to cases of bullying, proved fruitful. The moderator of the event explained to the students the procedure for applying and considering reports about harassment.

The final part of the meeting was the debunking of common myths regarding the admissibility of violence. The participants discussed the negative psychological consequences of aggressive communication and considered constructive ways of interaction, which consolidated a new understanding and attitude to the problem of bullying.

The acquired knowledge and skills will help students to recognize bullying in time, respond to it effectively and contribute to the creation of a safe educational environment.
