The measures are organized on the basis of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The participants of the training are representatives of operational units of the National Police of Ukraine from most regions of Ukraine.
The event began with the performance of the State Anthem of Ukraine and honoring the memory of the fallen with a moment of silence.
The participants were addressed with welcoming words by the head of the Department of Criminal Investigation of the National Police of Ukraine, police general of the third rank Vadym Dziubynskyi, the assistant to the Head of the National Police of Ukraine, police lieutenant colonel Yuliia Volkova and the acting rector of DSUIA Ihor Mahdalina.
The program of the specialization of police officers on issues of conducting psychophysiological research with the use of a polygraph according to the methodology of detecting concealed information combines theoretical training and practical development of professional skills.
The training will cover the legal, psychological and physiological foundations of polygraph research, international standards, modern testing methodologies, work with equipment and software, preparation of test questions, conducting pre-test conversations, analysis and interpretation of results.
Special attention will be paid to the use of the polygraph during the detection and investigation of criminal offenses, official investigations, checks for involvement in collaborationism, as well as the identification of methods of counteracting research.
At the end of the training, the participants of the specialization will undergo a practicum on working with a polygraph and will take a comprehensive final exam.
Such events contribute to increasing the professional competence of police officers, improving practical skills in conducting polygraph research and the qualitative performance of official tasks.
