DSUIA Police Academy Discusses Women’s Career Paths in Law Enforcement

MIA Lyceum, NEWS

An interactive session entitled “A Woman in Uniform: Personal Challenges and Professional Achievements” was held for trainees of the Police Academy at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. The session was led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Anna Dziuba, Acting Director of the Oleksandr Hostishchev Dnipro Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The meeting combined open discussion, motivational conversation and practical activities. Participants explored the professional development of women in law enforcement, the challenges they face in the line of duty, and the importance of emotional resilience, mutual support and trust within a team. Particular attention was also paid to the human side of police work.

During the interactive part, trainees discussed real-life situations, took part in group discussions and completed practical exercises. This format allowed them to consider specific examples from professional practice, exchange views and reflect on the personal qualities that contribute to becoming an effective law enforcement officer.

The session provided an opportunity to look at police service not only in terms of official duties but also through the lens of personal experience, everyday work and achievements. After all, professional fulfilment is about more than career advancement: it also involves overcoming challenges, learning from experience and confidently pursuing one’s chosen path.
