In accordance with the development strategy of DSUIA, the task of the International Cooperation Department is the continuous development of the university’s international relations and the establishment of cooperation with educational institutions of a similar focus, including the participation of higher education students in academic mobility programs. Taking into account Ukraine’s integration processes into the European and global space, the main vectors of international cooperation have been defined, aimed at studying the experience of law enforcement activities in European countries. The university’s partners in conducting joint activities include international organizations such as the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the European Union Advisory Mission in Ukraine, the Association of European Police Colleges (AEPC), and the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL).
Students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education have the opportunity to study under academic exchange programs at partner universities of DSUIA: Jan Kochanowski University (Poland), Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, and the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Romania). Foreign lecturers are involved in the educational process at DSUIA delivering open lectures and participating in joint classes for students and cadets.
For the first time in 2022, DSUIA became a member of the international consortium project that secured funding from the European Union to implement the SimS project, “Integration of Simulation Technologies and Scenario-Based Learning in the Educational Process”, under the EU Erasmus+ KA2 program for capacity building in higher education, Proposal ID 101061702. Within the framework of the project, the university established a modern pre-medical assistance center and developed scenario-based learning cases for police officers titled “First on the Scene”.
Cooperation with CEPOL continues, focusing on professional development for teachers and police officers, who have the opportunity to attend specialized trainings led by international instructors in multinational groups.
DSUIA is a recipient of two international technical assistance projects funded by the European Union: “Operational Support in Providing Strategic Advice on the Reform of Ukraine’s Civil Security Sector (2021-2024)”, implemented by the European Union Advisory Mission in Ukraine, registration card № 4827-10; “Strengthening the Capacities of National Partners to Enhance Cyber Resilience”, implemented by the OSCE through the Special Representative of the Chairperson-in-Office – OSCE Project Coordinator, project №1102477, registration card № 5441.
