Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs is a member of the international consortium of the Simulation medicine and Scenario-based learning for emergency care (SimS) project, which comprises project groups from Lithuania, Greece, Spain, and Ukraine. The project coordinator is Bukovinian State Medical University.

The main objective of this project is to improve the first and emergency medical aid training system by implementing innovative integrated training activities, including scenario-based training, simulation medicine, and competent psychological support in the “first on the scene” category in accordance with modern international standards.

The DSUIA primary objective is to establish a pre-medical education system for police officers, utilizing scenario training and simulation medicine. This approach will aid in the acquisition of skills necessary for providing pre-medical care to individuals who have been harmed due to crimes or accidents, as well as individuals who are stranded at the scene of a road accident in a life- or health-threatening situation. The project entails the creation of authentic learning scenarios utilizing the SBL and SM methodologies, and the modernization of the training curriculum for pre-medical care and tactical medicine by incorporating these scenarios into the classroom.

The work on the project “Simulation medicine and Scenario-based learning for emergency care” (SimS) continues.

Materials for use in scenarios with various situations and emergency conditions when providing first aid in first on the scene conditions have been taken.
